BFF — Be Fit & Functional is an AI-powered accountability coach that helps you reach your health and fitness goals. You pick an AI persona (Bro, Bestie, Queen, or Ride or Die), set your goals, and your BFF checks in with you daily — tracking your diet, celebrating wins, and calling you out when you slip.

Unlike generic fitness apps, BFF focuses on accountability. It's not just logging data — it's having a best friend in your corner who actually keeps you honest.

Bro — High energy, zero tolerance for excuses. Great if you want someone to push you hard.

Bestie — Warm, supportive, and honest. Perfect if you want encouragement with a dose of real talk.

Queen — No nonsense, high standards. Ideal if you respond well to high expectations and sharp motivation.

Ride or Die — Day one energy, always in it with you. Best if you want consistency and loyalty above all.

You can switch personas at any time from your settings — so don't stress about picking the perfect one right away.

BFF is currently available on iOS (iPhone) only. An Android version is on our roadmap. If you'd like to be notified when Android launches, email us at support@bff-app.me and we'll add you to the waitlist.

BFF requires iOS 16 or later. We recommend keeping your iPhone updated to the latest iOS version for the best experience.

The free version includes limited BFF Chat messages, basic diet tracking, access to one AI persona, and your dashboard overview. It's a great way to experience BFF before committing to Premium.

BFF Premium unlocks the full experience: unlimited BFF Chat, advanced diet and macro tracking, all 4 AI personas, progress charts and insights, the Wins Wall, and priority support.

Premium is $9.99/month or $59.99/year (saving you 50% vs monthly).

Since BFF subscriptions are managed through Apple, you cancel through your iPhone settings — not through the app itself. Here's how:

1. Open iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions
2. Find BFF — Be Fit & Functional
3. Tap Cancel Subscription

Your Premium access continues until the end of your current billing period. You won't be charged again after cancelling.

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. Refund requests are handled by Apple directly. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

If you're having an issue with the app that led you to request a refund, please reach out to us at support@bff-app.me first — we'd love to help resolve it.

Try these steps in order:

1. Go to Settings in BFF and tap Restore Purchases
2. Force-close the app and reopen it
3. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the purchase
4. Check your internet connection

If none of those work, email us at support@bff-app.me with your Apple ID email and we'll sort it out quickly.

You can delete your account directly in the app by going to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will permanently delete all your data within 30 days.

If you can't access the app, email privacy@bff-app.me with your account email and we'll process the deletion manually.

Note: deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription — make sure to cancel that separately through your iPhone Settings first.

Yes. Your health and fitness data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. We never sell your data to advertisers or third parties. It is only used to power your BFF experience.

BFF can optionally connect to Apple Health to read activity and nutrition data. This is entirely opt-in — you control exactly which data categories you share. You can revoke access at any time through iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → BFF.

Yes. Sign in with your account on any iPhone and your data and Premium subscription will sync automatically. Just make sure you use the same Apple ID that was used for the original purchase.

BFF is powered by Claude, an AI model built by Anthropic. Each persona (Bro, Bestie, Queen, Ride or Die) is a distinct character built on top of Claude, giving each one a genuinely different voice, tone, and coaching style.

Yes. Your conversations with your BFF are private and treated with the same sensitivity as health data. We do not use your personal conversations to train AI models. Messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses, governed by their privacy policy.

No. BFF is a wellness accountability tool, not a medical service. Nothing in the app should be taken as medical, nutritional, or clinical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet, exercise, or health routine.
